St. Louis
At less than five hours away from Chicago by car or train (and about an hour by plane), St. Louis makes for an excellent weekend getaway from the Windy City. Best known for the Gateway Arch, St. Louis offers plenty to see and do to keep you busy for a few days.
Unleash your inner child at the City Museum, ride down the Mississippi on a riverboat, or sample the goods at the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi. St. Louis also offers more dining, nightlife, and microbrewery options than you might expect from an industrial midwest town.
