The Pilsen 2nd Friday’s Art Walk

Not many tourists make it down to Pilsen, the predominantly Latino neighborhood south of the Loop. But those that do are rewarded with a bevy of excellent Mexican restaurants to choose from along 18th Street, plus a whole host of art galleries to browse along Halsted. On the second Friday of every month, those galleries open their doors and host a neighborhood-wide party that offers art to view or purchase, live music and DJ sets, and lots of free wine and cheese.
